Show Me Your Pedalboard: Cas
/Today’s Show Me Your Pedalboard entry comes from Cas all the way from the Netherlands. Cas plays bass in dutch pop band Rondé and it looks like they’ve developed quite a following for themselves! Word! Cas prides himself on working unconventional sounds into pop music, and his board is very indicative of that. He also has some of my favorite pedals ever! You’re just showing me what I want to see! Let’s take a look at what Cas is rocking out with:
(From r-l on the top row) First up is a TC Electronics Polytune straight into a BOSS double team of my two favorite BOSS pedals – my numero uno the BOSS CS-2 Compression Sustainer immediately followed by my other favorite BOSS pedal the OC-2 Octaver. Up next is a Black Velvet Killer distortion pedal. Black Velvet is a pedal company based out of the Netherlands. As of right now their specialty is solely the Killer distortion pedal that comes in two versions, the “blue” and the “orange” editions. The Blue Killer, is more of a transparent guitar distortion and the Orange Killer kicks up the gain on the low end for a thicker distortion. Glad to see the support for the smaller companies, very cool!
After the Black Velvet Killer is an MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe followed by a BOSS BF-2 Flanger, making our way down to the other side of the board Cas has got an Electro-Harmonix POG 2 followed by the worlds greatest fuzz, the Sovtek Big Muff Fuzz. Cas’ board ends in an Electro-Harmonix Micro Synthesizer for that awesome subby low end and a Line 6 DL4 for all the looping craziness.
Awesome stuff Cas! I’m totally biased though, you’re just showing me what I love to see! You got some space on your board, you gotta get an envelope filter! Check out Mr. Black for your envelope filter needs!
Thanks for sending in your board Cas! If you haven’t sent in your board, email us at juan@pedalsandeffects.com and it could be featured right here on Pedals And Effects!
