Today’s Show Me Your Pedalboard entry just might be the most aesthetically uniform pedalboard we’ve featured yet! Today’s board comes from Tim, and he’s rocking a very modest, but very color coordinated board! You can tell a lot of thought was put into this board. Each pedal has its purpose and while there’s no excessive frills there’s still plenty of room to get crazy. Check out that cable management too! Let’s take a look at what Tim get’s to see when he’s looking down on stage!

Tim’s board starts off into a white Korg Pitchblack tuner! I know the Pitchblack comes in a number of colors, gold, red, black and white! Whether it was a limited edition model, or a custom paint job, it’s totally possible to find different pedals with similar colors to match your style! After the tuner is an Xotic effects SP compressor. Fun fact, (depending on the compressor) you can totally use a compressor pedal this early on in your signal to EQ things and level things out. Whether you need a boost, or to just level out the other pedals in the chain, it’s great to consider compression this early on. I know I often repeat myself by mentioning keeping a compressor up front, but you can’t argue with great results. Just my two cents. After the compressor is an Earthquaker Devices White Light Overdrive, followed by an MXR Eddie Van Halen Flanger. I know some people that swear by the Van Halen MXR flanger over the standard MXR flanger. It’s a tough call, the EVH flanger definitely gets more extreme (want those crazy Diver Down sounds? this is your pedal) than the standard, but they both flange very well. The BOSS BF-3 Flanger is a good flange as well, and if you’re persistent/patient enough try and get your hands on an A/DA flanger, the best flanger ever made.

Moving onto the top row of Tim’s board, we have a Rawkworks Light Overdrive. Rawkworks is a tiny boutique pedal manufacturer based out of Louisiana, and from my understanding its run by just one person! Rawkworks also manufactures just two other pedals, the Eliora fuzz and the Vista bypass/buffer. Rawkworks has a very clean and uniform aesthetic, I can see why Tim chose them. Glad to see musicians supporting smaller companies, I have to check these guys out! Up next is a Snow White Auto Wah by Mad Professor Amplification. The Auto Wah is a nice pick me up from the flange, and can get really psychedelic in unison. Mad Professor is another boutique company that happens to be based out of Finland, very cool. Up next is a BOSS TE-2 Tera Echo, a departure from the DD series delay by BOSS. The Tera Echo, is a stereo delay pedal with “Multi-Dimensional Processing” that gives your signal “dynamic changes relative to the input signal in real time” emphasizing sensitive response to volume changes and playing dynamics. I’m not quite sure how that’s different from their old school delays, but I’ll have to take BOSS’ word for it. Lastly, whenever he wants a different type of delay Tim’s board ends in an Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master delay/reverb pedal.

It’s good to have option amongst your board, it’s great that all your pedals are the same color, and it’s even better to have it all fit on a compact board! I’m impressed Tim, thanks for sharing your board! Everyone’s board speaks volumes about the type of player you are, and it’s so cool to see people approach things in their own unique way.
