I am huge fan of Pigtronix and am so happy to have their Envelope Phaser as part our 12 Days of PedalsAndEffects giveaway. As many of you may know, I use this pedal on tour. I have an Envelope Phaser on my pedalboard in this Premier Guitar video, as well as a video Pigtronix shot of me at 2010′s Bass Player Live soundcheck:
This is one of the most useful pedals I have ever come across. The phaser part of the pedal has a large sound palate because it can be controlled by envelope, LFO or a blend of both, giving me the most articulate and musical phaser control. Pigtronix knows musicians want endless sound possibilities to keep up with their creativity and that is why so much goes into each of their pedals.
The envelope filtering has the same forward thinking in its design as the phaser. With the staccato function, you can really get tight and funky like vintage Mutrons or big envelopes that sound like Moog synthesizers.
Either way, I know this pedal will be invaluable to whoever wins it because, well, it’s indispensable to me!
How to win:
Just follow the instructions and you’ll be entered!
A winner will be chosen at random from all entries; we’ll then email the winner tomorrow (December 15) and give him/her until 11:59pm on December 18th to claim the prize. If we don’t hear back, another winner will be chosen at random. Once a winner has been chosen, we will announce the name on our Facebook page. Good luck!
