Maxon: Compressing Your Bass for Live and Recording [review]
Maxon, a Japanese company, makes a wonderful, musical compressor that I love to use in the studio. It is of very good quality so I can use it in recordings and the studio. It doesn’t enhance your sound like some compressors, rather it compresses and limits your output to make for easy recordings that sit well in the mix. I will be covering more compressors in the next few videos…I hope you watch! – Juan Alderete

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the old form factor Durham Sexdrive compressor.
Hey man, thanx for all your advice, I think is super cool of you to have the trouble of recording and writing all this info just to share your experience.
question, which other compressors do you recommend? I know you were using the Boss CS-2, but is a bit hard to find, any other suggestions?
Once a gain, thanx!
Curious what makes you prefer the CP-9 Pro+ over the other Maxon compressors? I’m in the market for a compressor and this sounds good on your vid. Talkbass users seem to like it a lot too.
Te agradezco mucho lo que haces al publicar tus opiniones acerca de los pedales que usas… me ayuda a entender un poco más de la creación de la música que haces. Un gran abrazo Juan!!!
