What’s Coming Up: PedalsAndEffects in 2013!

I want to wish you all a Happy New Year.  I’ve been really happy with the way PedalsAndEffects has been turning out.  I started filming for the site one year ago this month and have learned a lot about websites, blog posts, video editing and, of course, pedals and effects.

What’s in store for 2013? More Fuzz Wars, plus new features Sub Wars and Envelope Wars. Guests will include Scott Shriner of Weezer, my first bass teacher Steve Evans and PedalsAndEffects veterans Jonathan Hischke and Janek Gwizdala, plus pedal builders Ben from Dwarfcraft and Jamie from Earthquaker Devices.  Pedal routing ideas, pedal combos, outboard gear effects and recording techniques will be explored further.  We will also continue to cover new pedals hitting the market, as well as old vintage pedals that are not available but can be heard and seen right here on PedalsAndEffects.

Keep the feedback coming, and I look forward to making PedalsAndEffects stronger and better in 2013.

Can’t wait Juan! Looking forward to hearing from Scott – have always loved his sound and playing style.
Keep it up, you’ve already influenced me spending way too much money on pedals (even moreso than usual…)

Would you be open to any feedback on guests? I realize that it may be difficult to coordinate getting some of these guys time wise, but I think it would be awesome to see Troy Sanders from Mastodon, Marfred from Zechs Marquise, and Joe Lester from Intronaut (another awesome fretless player) to see what they have to say about the effects they use. I’m guessing alot of the site’s visitors would probably feel the same. Thanks for the awesome site.

  15. Conner says:

    Hey Juan!

What do you think of the Mantic Density Hulk?

  16. Paul says:

I’m sure you’ll be putting up a demo of it eventually, but i see in the photo you have a couple of Mantic Density Hulks and on Mantics site they have a picture of one with your name stamped in it. Being so familiar and such a proponent of the DOD Meatbox, how do they compare? Is the Density Hulk worth it?
