Been wanting one of these for ages, but TC Electronics just came out with the Flashback X4 which is really similar, same price range, same premise, looks like it might be a bit more versatile than the DL4 though… anyone know how they compare?
The OC-2 chip just has a bigger sound to me. Chips come and go… I just spoke to the Boss rep yesterday and he said that the Boss VB-2 and OC-2 will never come back because those chips are not available/made any longer.
Same with the CS-2. The VCA chip in it was made by the now defunct THAT Corp. Its strange because the Bucket Brigade chips used in the VB-2′s are readily available through Chinese manufacturers.
Im gonna get my friend/brother from another mother\guitarist a pedal for Christmas this year..I think this Is the one.. I listened to bunch of different ones. I hope he loves it. >.<
Dang dude… I am totally afraid to marker up / sticker my gear. I guess that means you won’t be getting rid of it any time soon?
This pedal looks like its straight outta fall out new vegas
dang dude, i broke the vb-2 that i have. any idea where to maybe get it fixed? i’d hate to pay 450.00 to fight for another one.
This place fixed my last VB-2. http://www.vstservice.com
Yo Juan, Give the BYOC VB-2 clone a try. Bought it to back up my VB-2, sounds dead on:

Hey man what’re you hearing as the main difference between the OC-2 and the OC-3?

and besides BOSS has a policy of newer reissuing their pedals don´t they?
have you tried the SYB-3 or SYB-5?
I tried using the SYB-3 with guitar but it really didn´t work well.
I meant “never reissuing”.
I love some of the older BOSS pedals btw.
I´ve snagged a bunch of them so far and there´s a few more I´m looking for now.
