A/DAFlanger Review and Goliath bass tone

The A/DA Flanger, in my opinion, is the biggest sounding flanger ever made. It delivers a lot of amazing sounds and it has a range that makes all flangers seem like half flangers. I have been using the A/DA for years. The first time I ever heard this flanger was at a concert went to in 80′s. The Pat Travers Band had two great guitar players and they both used the A/DA’s. They would kick them on and the entire live mix would be in a giant flange. I used this flanger on The Mars Volta’s “Goliath” and it always gave a lift to the dynamics of that track. It may not be the cheapest flanger but it is the best, in my opinion.

Is there any difference between the reissued version and the original? I’ve been wanting a really “in-you-face” type flanger, kind of like that deep phaser sound on Meccamputechture, but giving that signature flange sound to it.. Could this pedal give me what I’m looking for? (Sorry if it is obvious in the video.. I’m at work!)

I had a re-issue and I thought it was pretty darn close. Worth the money, in my opinion.

Hell yeah that sounds Really big. I want to experiment with putting a flange AFTER my tape delays like I’ve heard Isaah Mitchell do from Earthless and this might be the flanger i get. Thanks J.A.

How much would you say the Mexican flag adds to the tone? 10%? 17%

Otherwise, this is great. I’ve avoided flangers for years, but this adds an awesome layer to the sound.
